Your Safety Is Our #1 Priority!
Your safety is our top priority at every stage in the fire damage restoration process. Before you do anything else, the first step is to determine if it’s safe for you to remain in your home. If you’ve contacted firefighters to put out the fire, those authorities will be able to tell you when it is safe to reenter the building. Even if the damage doesn’t look bad from the outside, the structure of your home may have been compromised. Fire authorities will establish a safety zone, which will vary in size depending on the severity of the fire. In extreme cases, you may not be allowed to enter the home for your own protection. After you’ve contacted your family, the next step is to call a public adjuster or your insurance company. If you’d prefer to handle your claim directly, you can speak to your insurance provider to arrange for clean-up, restoration and alternate lodging as necessary. Alternatively, you can contact a local public adjuster who will independently evaluate the damage and advocate on your behalf with your insurance provider.
